This article covers a few reasons why you may not be seeing an updated location for your child's device on your Parent MyGabb App
First a few good practices:
1. Always make sure your parent MyGabb App is running the most updated version from your device's App Store.
2. Make sure your notifications and preferences are allowed on your smart phone.
Here are a few common reasons you may not be able to connect with your child's device for GPS tracking:
1. The child's device is turned off. When The child's device is off there will not be active updating in the network and the location will be stale!
2. Dead battery. The Gabb device having a dead battery will have the same effect as above!
3. Low cell signal. This is also a common reason for many GPS related issues. When The cell service on the Gabb device is low it will struggle to establish a clear and accurate reading for GPS tracking. If the network is unable to feel confident in a solid signal it will usually not show a location. This can also impact the accuracy of the location of the device! Low cell signal in buildings/schools, low service areas can be cause for stale locations or unable to connect screens.
