Hi there! This article covers a few items and concepts related to Apple products and Gabb Devices like:
Why are my text messages to my child’s device green?
How does a Gabb Phone leave a group text?
Why does my text message go to another person when texting my child’s Gabb Phone?
1. Why are my text messages to my child’s device green?
Apple's phones many times use iMessage. This is actually not sending an SMS or “text message.” Apple users using iMessage are utilizing Apple’s instant messaging platform and the interactions are usually blue. Android and other standard devices will appear as green to an Apple user as Android and standard SMS devices do not use iMessaging.
2. As a Gabb user, how do I leave a group text?
Unlike iPhone (iMessage) - Android style devices and standard SMS cannot leave a group text like iMessage users can. You may request that the members of the group message start a new thread without the Gabb number and then delete the thread. In addition you may also block numbers and then delete the thread. Keep in mind this will hinder potential future communication with said numbers.
You may also turn off notifications for a group thread. To do so:
1. Hold down on the group message
2. Click the three dots (top right) and click "turn off notifications." This will mute the notifications.

3. When texting my child’s Gabb Phone number the texts are going to someone else. Why?
This may be related to Apple’s iMessage service as well. If the Gabb Phone number was ever associated with someone’s iMessage account, the messages may still be being delivered to that old iMessage user. You may deregister the Gabb Phone number with Apple’s iMessaging here: https://selfsolve.apple.com/deregister-imessage/
If de-registering doesn’t do the trick, Apple users may also need to enable a setting on their device that enables them to send the message as an SMS and not iMessage. This is usually found in the Apple device’s messaging settings.
